We began our film as the opening of a baby kidnap story, and we have moved on to slasher.
When doing the baby kidnap story, we had actually created a draft of a storyboard, we tried to use conventions from Halloween and Gone Baby Gone, but then decided a slasher filn had more of a market to it.
We decided that the slasher had a large market by looking at what was already around. There are, quite simply, hundreds of slasher films, dating back to black and white movies (Namely Psycho) and being created by the bucketload up until present day.
In many interviews and features on horror movies, time and time again people will name a variety of slasher films as their favourite. There are many killers from slasher films who are known by people all around the world, at Halloween costumes such as Jason Vorhees are always on sale, if enough effort is put in, a slasher can become a timeless classic.
It is because of this that we realised there must be a market for slasher films, and therefore decided to create a film of this genre.
